HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE

FIND YOUR PERFECT FIT
Finding your ring size at home is easier than you think.
MLKJEWELS rings are listed in US sizing, so we recommend measuring your finger before placing your order.
MEASURE YOUR FINGER WITH STRING OR PAPER
You can also measure your finger using a thin strip of paper or non-stretch string.
Wrap it around the base of the finger where you intend to wear your ring.
It should sit comfortably snug - not tight.
Mark the point where the ends meet, then lay the string or paper flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimetres.
That number is your approximate finger circumference.
| US Ring Size | Inside Diameter | Finger Circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | approx. 15.7 mm | approx. 49.3 mm |
| 6 | approx. 16.5 mm | approx. 51.9 mm |
| 7 | approx. 17.3 mm | approx. 54.4 mm |
| 8 | approx. 18.1 mm | approx. 57.0 mm |
| 9 | approx. 18.9 mm | approx. 59.5 mm |
| 10 | approx. 19.8 mm | approx. 62.1 mm |
Compare it with the chart above to find your US ring size.
MLK TIP
Measure your finger at the end of the day, when your hands are at their most natural size.
Temperature can also affect finger size, so avoid measuring when your hands are particularly cold or swollen.
And remember: your fingers can be different sizes on each hand, so always measure the specific finger you plan to wear your ring on.
BETWEEN TWO SIZES?
We recommend sizing up.
A ring that is slightly roomier will generally be more comfortable than one that feels restrictive - particularly with statement styles.
Our current Marquise Cocktail Rings are available in US sizes 6, 7 and 8, and MLKJEWELS recommends sizing up if you're between sizes. Message us if you need a custom size made.
